Features ( Advantages )

• They are stranded
• Light weights
• High conductivity
• Durable
• Average ultimate strength of stranded aluminum conductor is about 65% to that of stranded copper conductor

Disadvantages

• Not easy to handle
• It cannot take as much tension as ACSR conductors so span length is restricted
